// SKR Development Sim Racing League

Code of
Conduct

The rules, race etiquette, and policies governing the SKR Development Sim Racing League. Every driver signs this via Smartwaiver before their grid spot is confirmed.

// 01 · Spirit & Purpose

The SKR Development Sim Racing League is built around growth. Drivers race hard, race clean, and finish a season better than they started. We expect mutual respect among drivers, broadcasters, stewards, and the SKR community. Anyone who can't carry that spirit doesn't belong in this league, and we'll remove them from it.

// 02 · Eligibility & Verification

Drivers must meet the published requirements at the time of registration: iRating at or below 2,500, Safety Rating at or above 1.7, and a valid iRacing membership. Falsification of any registration detail is grounds for immediate removal from the league without refund.

SKR Member discounts are verified against active Acuity subscriptions before invoicing. Claiming the member rate without an active subscription will result in the standard non-member rate being invoiced.

// 03 · Race Day Expectations

  • Be in the iRacing client and the league Discord at least 15 minutes before the scheduled race time.
  • Maintain a stable internet connection. A wired connection is strongly preferred over Wi-Fi.
  • A working microphone is required, whether or not you intend to communicate during the race.
  • Race in the GT3 car you registered with. Mid-season car changes require race director approval.
  • Drivers at SKR Sim Racing Center will use SKR equipment as configured. Drivers from home are responsible for their own setup.

Session settings. All sessions — practice, qualifying, warmup, and race — run with damage off and racing line off. Damage off means cars repair fully within 2-3 seconds of contact, though handling is affected during the repair window. Racing line is off in every session so that drivers learn the circuits in their own practice before race day. Session settings are configured by the race director and are not driver-adjustable.

// 04 · Track Etiquette

  • Hold your racing line under braking. No swerving in the braking zone.
  • Respect blue flags. If you are being lapped by a faster car, yield at the next safe opportunity.
  • Complete an overtake fully before turning back to the racing line. The overtaking car is responsible for making a clean pass.
  • One defensive move per straight. No late blocking.
  • If you cause contact, lift off the throttle, allow the affected car to pass, and report it to stewards after the race.
  • Hard but fair. We expect side-by-side racing — we don't expect dive-bombs.

// 05 · Stewards & Penalties

Because damage is off (see Section 03), car-to-car contact will not visibly end a driver's race — but iRacing still logs every incident, and every reported incident is reviewed after the race. Contact will be reviewed heavily. Post-race penalties are applied using the IMSA GT3 ruleset as the reference framework. Steward decisions are final when delivered.

The race director reviews all reported incidents after each race. Drivers may submit incident reports via the league Discord within 48 hours of the race for review. Penalties may include:

  • Post-race time penalty (applied to finishing position)
  • Championship points deduction
  • Grid position deduction for the following race
  • Disqualification from the event
  • Single-race suspension
  • Ejection from the entire series (no refund)

Repeated incidents that appear intentional after thorough review will result in ejection from the entire series. No refund.

Drivers who disagree with a steward decision are welcome to raise it via Discord DM with the race director, but public attacks on stewards or race direction will not be tolerated.

// 06 · Disconnects & Technical Issues

  • First disconnect of the season: No penalty. Best-effort rejoin if possible.
  • Second disconnect: Reviewed by stewards. Possible points adjustment depending on circumstances.
  • Third or more: Forfeiture of the race in question. Persistent issues may require suspension until the driver demonstrates a stable setup.

Internet drops are a fact of life. We're reasonable. Drivers who chronically can't stay connected, however, will be asked to resolve the issue before continuing in the league.

// 07 · Missed Races & No-Shows

  • Race director must be notified at least 24 hours before race time if you can't attend.
  • One no-show without notice will result in a warning.
  • Two no-shows without notice will result in removal from the league. No refund.
  • Each driver's lowest-scoring race of the season is automatically dropped from championship points. One bad race won't end your title hopes.

// 08 · Communication Conduct

  • Be respectful to fellow drivers, broadcasters, stewards, and the SKR community at all times.
  • No personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory language. Anywhere. Ever.
  • No flaming or stream-bombing on Discord, YouTube comments, social media, or any platform regarding league participants.
  • Criticism of stewards or race direction goes through DM, not public channels.
  • Violations result in warning, suspension, or removal at the race director's discretion.

// 09 · Broadcasting & Media

By registering for the league, drivers consent to:

  • Live broadcast of their race on YouTube and any other platforms SKR may use.
  • Use of their submitted bio, photo, and likeness in broadcast graphics, replays, recordings, social media, and league marketing.
  • Use of in-race chat, voice communication (where applicable), and gameplay footage in broadcast and marketing materials.

Drivers retain rights to their own gameplay footage and may record and stream their own perspective. Drivers agree not to misrepresent the league, stewards, or other competitors in their own content.

// 10 · Equipment & Anti-Cheat

  • All drivers must use legitimate iRacing accounts. No shared accounts, no proxy drivers, no smurfs.
  • Any use of cheats, exploits, banned mods, or third-party tools that interact with iRacing in a non-sanctioned way will result in immediate removal from the league and a ban from future seasons. No refund.
  • If a driver is suspected of using a separate account to circumvent the iRating cap, the race director may request verification. Failure to verify will result in suspension.

// 11 · Refunds & Withdrawals

  • Withdrawal before the Week 1 race (Wednesday, June 17, 2026): 50% refund of the league fee.
  • Withdrawal after the Week 1 race begins: No refund. Your spot is committed.
  • Seat transfer: With race director approval, you may transfer your registration to another eligible driver before the Week 1 race. After that, transfers are not permitted.
  • Removal for Code of Conduct violation: No refund.

// 12 · Prize Pool

Season 1 prizes are three $50 iRacing Gift Cards, awarded at season end based on three criteria:

  • 1st Place Overall: $50 iRacing Gift Card. The driver with the most championship points after six races.
  • Most Improved Driver: $50 iRacing Gift Card. Awarded for overall growth in race craft — driving lines, braking, passing, lap time improvement — across the season. Determined by the race director based on review of broadcast footage, telemetry, and lap data.
  • Cleanest Driver: $50 iRacing Gift Card. The driver with the fewest total incidents across all six races, as recorded by iRacing.

Prize disbursement is made within 14 days of the season finale. iRacing Gift Cards will be delivered via the email address on file. Winners are responsible for any tax obligations associated with their winnings.

// 13 · Garage 61 & Community Platforms

Drivers racing from home (or any sim center outside SKR) are required, upon approval, to create a free Garage 61 account if they do not already have one. Garage 61 is used for telemetry comparison, coaching, and improvement discussions among league drivers — central to the development mission of this pilot.

All approved league drivers receive access to the SKR Sim Racing Discord and the SKR room in Slow Motion Productions' Discord, where commentators may interview drivers for the broadcast.

// 14 · Changes to Rules

The race director may amend these rules between seasons as needed. Changes within a season will be made only when necessary for safety or fairness, and will be communicated to all drivers in writing via the league Discord and email.

// 15 · Acceptance

By signing this Code of Conduct via Smartwaiver, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms above. A signed waiver is required for participation. No signature, no grid spot.
